Walnuts, Other Nuts, Pumpkin and Sunflower Seeds Recalled Due to Undeclared Allergens
On May 8, 2024, Texas Pecan recalled various lots of the company’s 1 lb. and 8 oz. packages of walnut halves and pieces, as well as packages of almonds, pecans, cashews and other nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and trail mix products because the products contain potential allergens such as tree nuts, peanuts, almonds, soy, dairy, sesame, and more, that are not declared on the label.
People who have severe sensitivity or allergy to to tree nuts, peanuts, almonds, soy, dairy, and sesame should not consume these products due to the potential risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.
Recalled Texas Pecan products (see product photos) were sold at the company’s retail store in Texas and online through the company’s website (www.texaspecanco.com). They are packaged in clear bags with a Texas Pecan label. Affected lot numbers range from 23200-23265 to 24001-24079 and can be found on the bottom left corner of the product bags. Recalled products can be further identified by the following:
