Orgain Protein Powder Recalled Due to Peanut Allergen Risk

On December 19, 2024, Orgain recalled a single batch of its 30g Protein Organic Plant Based Powder - Chocolate 2.01lb because it may contain undeclared peanut residue. The recall was initiated following a report of an allergic reaction from one consumer. No other Orgain products are affected by this recall.

People with an allergy to peanuts should not consume this product as they could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Recalled Orgain 30g Protein Organic Plant Based Powder (see product photos) was distributed nationwide in retail stores and online. The product is packaged in a 2.01 lb plastic tub with a blue label and can be further identified by the following:

  • Product name: Orgain 30g Protein Organic Plant Based Powder – Chocolate (2.01 lb)
  • Lot code: 4172-02-P
  • Expiration date: June 20, 2026

Consumers who have purchased the affected lot should stop use immediately and contact Orgain Consumer Care Team for instructions on receiving a refund.
