Aroma Vita Hot Cocoa Mix Recalled Due to Metal Fragments

On October 2, 2024, Dyma Brands Inc. issued a recall of two lots of Aroma Vita Hot Cocoa Mix, because they may contain metal fragments which, in severe cases, could lead to damage of the digestive tract if ingested. The metal fragments may have resulted from a damaged sifter used in the production of the dextrose in the cocoa mix.

The recall includes 692 cases of Aroma Vita Hot Cocoa Mix which were distributed by Dyma and are packaged in individual pouches. They were distributed Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. They can be further identified by the following:
