Organic Hot Agave Recalled Due to High Amounts of Yeast

On November 17, 2024, Cumberland Packing Corp issued a recall of 549 cases of Organic Hot Agave in the Raw because this product was found to contain elevated counts of osmophilic yeast (yeast that grows in high-sugar environments that can lead to spoilage).

Recalled Organic Hot Agave in the Raw were distributed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia and can further be identified by the following:

  • Product: Organic Hot Agave in the Raw (10 oz.)
  • Lot/Unit Numbers: 03142657, 03152657, 03162657, 03182657, 03192657, 03202657
  • Expiration or Use By dates: March 14, 2026, March 15, 2026, March 16, 2026, March 18, 2026, March 19, 2026, March 20, 2026
