Lactaid Milk Recalled Due to Allergen

On September 20, 2024, HP Hood LLC voluntarily recalled five SKUs of refrigerated Lactaid Milk due to the product potentially containing trace amounts of almond, which is not declared on the label. No illness has been reported to date.

People who have severe sensitivity or allergy to almonds should not consume these products due to the potential risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Recalled Lactaid milks are packaged in 96 oz. plastic containers with the code 51-4109 P2. They were shipped from September 5, 2024 through September 18, 2024 to retailers and wholesalers located in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming are listed below (see product photos).

  • Lactaid 2% Milk: Release date: 0 41383 09072 1
  • Lactaid 1% Milk: Release date: 0 41383 09071 4
  • Lactaid Fat Free Milk: Release date: 0 41383 09070 7
  • Lactaid 2% Calcium Enriched Milk: Release date: 0 41383 15567 3

Consumers who have purchased recalled Lactaid milk are advised to return the product to the retail location where the purchase was made for a full refund or exchange or contact Hood Costumer Affairs.
