Suprex Carb & Sugar Block Recalled

On December 7, 2023, Vita 360, LLC issued a recall of one lot of SUPREX Plant Based Nutrition Carb & Sugar Block after FDA analysis found it to contain only 16 mcg of chromium per serving and not 100 mcg of chromium per serving, as listed on the label.

SUPREX Plant Based Nutrition Carb & Sugar Block is promoted to “support carbohydrate and sugar absorption,” “appetite control,” and “weight control.” In addition to chromium, it is labeled as containing ingredients such as psyllium husk, bitter melon, and fenugreek.

Recalled Suprex Carb & Sugar Block supplements were manufactured in the United States and distributed throughout Puerto Rico. Products are packaged in a white plastic bottle with a white cap, sealed with plastic, and can be identified by the following:
 
  • Product name: SUPREX Plant Based Nutrition Carb & Sugar Block
  • Quantity: 120 Vegetable Cellulose Capsules per bottle
  • Lot #: 2633
  • Expiration Date: 07/25
