Original The Rock Capsules Recalled Due to Undeclared Sildenafil
On October 18, 2023, Noah’s Wholesale, LLC issued a nationwide recall of one lot of the company’s Original The Rock capsules after FDA analysis found the product to contain undeclared sildenafil, a prescription medication.
Sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) is prescribed for erectile dysfunction. This drug can cause symptoms like headache and flushing and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerine, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.
Recalled Original The Rock capsules are marketed as dietary supplements for male sexual enhancement and were distributed locally through Steele Products in Hallandale, FL, through convenience stores, and through small wholesale distributors. The products are red capsules and are packaged in a white-flat small cardboard package with red and black lettering. They can be further identified by the following:
