WEFUN Capsules Recalled Due to Undeclared Sildenafil

On August 25, 2023, WEFUN Inc. issued a recall of 300 boxes of WEFUN Capsules after FDA analysis found the product to contain undeclared sildenafil, a prescription medication.

Sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) is prescribed for erectile dysfunction. This drug can cause symptoms like headache and flushing and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerine, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.

Recalled WEFUN Capsules (see photo) are promoted to increase “confidence, energy, and performance,” and were distributed nationwide through sales on Amazon.com and eshoponlineusa.com. They are packaged in a blue cardboard box that contains 10 capsules and can be further identified by the following:

  • Lot Number: #1852016
  • Best By: 09/30/2026

The company is notifying distributors and customers of the recall by email and is arranging for return of affected products. Consumers, distributors, and retailers that have recalled products should stop using them and return them to their place of purchase.

Consumers and healthcare providers can report any adverse reactions to the FDA’s MedWatch Voluntary Reporting Program.
