On June 12, 2023, the FDA issued a warning letter to Warrior Labz SARMS following inspection of the company’s website and social media, which found that the company sold the following products labeled as containing steroid-like substances known as selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs), or with undeclared prescription drugs such as sildenafil and tadalafil, which are not permitted in dietary supplements:

• RAD-140 Testolone
• MK-677 Ibutamoren
• MK-2866 Ostarine
• LGD-4033 Ligandrol
• 19-Nor Andro
• 4-Andro
• BPC-157
• TB-500
• Viagra-Max Sildenafil
• Cialis-Max Tadalafil

SARMs, including Ostarine (MK-2866), Testolone (RAD140), Cardarine (GW0156) and others, are steroid-like substances often illegally marketed as dietary supplements or drugs and typically promoted for building lean muscle mass, as they can act as anabolic steroids.

SARMs may cause liver toxicity, increased risk of heart attack and stroke, and life-threatening reactions. Research published in the Journal of American Medical Association found that a large proportion of SARMs products do not contain the compounds they claim on labels and/or contain other, unlisted compounds.

Sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) and tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis) are prescribed for erectile dysfunction. These drugs can cause symptoms like headache and flushing and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerine, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.

The FDA also found that products on the Warrior Labz website were intended for human use, despite statements such as, “RESEARCH ONLY” and “Not for Human Consumption.” For example, customer testimonies promote various products with statements such as, “For almost 4 weeks now I have been using MK-677, RAD-140 and LGD-4033, The Warrior Mass Stack, and I feel amazing. My strength is up and I am putting on muscle size and my sleep at night from the MK-677 is awesome. I feel like a Warrior !!!”

The company must respond within 15 working days of receipt of the letter outlining steps taken to address any violations.
