FTC Returns over $1.1 Million to Consumers for RevMountain Teeth Whitening Products

On April 25, 2023, the FTC announced it will be returning over $1.1 million to approximately 42,000 consumers who lost money after RevMountain, LLC; Anasazi Management Partners; and other corporate defendants charged consumers for “free trial” offers for tooth whiteners and other products.

The FTC sued the defendants in August 2017 for deceptive claims, hidden disclosures, and confusing terms that tricked consumers into providing their billing information in order to pay a fee for tooth whiteners and other products. Consumers were then charged for two ongoing subscriptions at approximately $200 a month until they cancelled. A settlement was reached in April 2018 in which the defendants agreed to provide refunds to defrauded customers.

The FTC started sending payments on April 25, 2023. Consumers who receive a check should cash it within 90 days.
