Sanders Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels Recalled Due to Plastic

On December 30, 2022, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced the recall of certain lots of Sanders Candy Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels due to pieces of plastic being found in products.

Recalled products were sold in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Labrador. According to information provided to ConsumerLab by a Sanders company representative, the recalled products may also have been distributed to Costco stores in the U.S. Affected Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels can be further identified by the following:

  • Size: 1.02 kg
  • Best by dates: December 12-22, 2023
