On April 20th, 2022, the FDA warned consumers not to use the following ”Artri“ or ”Ortiga” products promoted to treat arthritis, muscle pain, osteoporosis and bone cancer because they have been found to contain undeclared drugs that can have serious adverse effects and may interact with other medications (use the links below for more information and product photos):

• Artri Ajo King
• Artri King
• Ortiga Mas Ajo Rey
• Ortiga Mas Ajo Rey Extra Forter

FDA laboratory analysis found these products to contain one or more of following undeclared drug ingredients:

• Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid that can cause infections, increased blood sugar, damage to bones, and psychiatric problems
• Diclofenac sodium, an anti-inflammatory drug that can cause serious cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke, as well as bleeding, ulceration, and fatal tears of the stomach and intestines, or liver toxicity 
• Methocarbamol, a muscle relaxant that can cause low blood pressure, sedation, and dizziness

Consumers who have been taking these products should consult with their healthcare provider before discontinuing, as suddenly stopping corticosteroids after long-term use can result in withdrawal syndrome.
