Maker of Relaxation Drink Warned For Melatonin Ingredient
On March 27, 2014, the FDA issued a warning letter to Dewmar International BMC, Inc. following a review of the company's product packaging and labels, which found the "relaxation beverage" Lean Slow Motion ...Potion (Easta Pink, Purp, and Yella varieties) to be adulterated because it contains melatonin. Melatonin is allowed as a dietary supplement ingredient, but is not approved as an ingredient in conventional foods and beverages, which are subject to different regulations.
