Court Injunction Halts Sale of Cholesterol, CoQ10, Progesterone, Prostate Supplements and More

On November 20, 2012, Pharmacist's Ultimate Health agreed to cease sales and distribution of its dietary supplements by entering into a Consent Decree of Permanent Injunction in the U.S. District Court of Minnesota. The FDA sought the injunction following a facility inspection which found the company's dietary supplements were not manufactured according to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and a review of Pharmacist's Ultimate Health websites which found certain supplements were promoted as drugs.

Pharmacist's Ultimate Health marketed dietary supplements under the brand names Pharmacists Ultimate Health and Doctor's Natural Therapy online at www.puhcorp.com and www.doc-nt.com. The list of products affected includes, but is not limited to, Allergy Relief Complex, Lycopene Standardized Extract, Co Q-10, Cold and Flu Defense, Cholesterol Homocysteine, Prostate Companion, Ginger Root Standardized Extract, and Progesterone Cream. Some of these dietary supplements were promoted to treat serious medical conditions such as prostate cancer, high cholesterol, hypertension, and congestive heart failure.
