There do not appear to be any studies suggesting that supplementing with curcumin (from turmeric) causes dry eye. In fact, some preliminary evidence suggests that curcumin may help relieve dry eye. There is also preliminary evidence that curcumin may reduce symptoms of chronic anterior uveitis, which can cause redness and pain in the eye but, again, no well-controlled studies have proven this effect.
